Obituary for Amos D. Scarbrough

Amos D. Scarbrough, 92 years of age passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010. He was born November 11, 1917 in Logan County, KY to the late Tom Scarbrough and the late Lonie (Insco) Insco. He married the late Marjorie L. (Gibbs) Scarbrough on December 14, 1938.

Amos has lived in Mooresville, IN for most of his life. he was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Friendswood Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on farm equipment and lawn mowers. Before retiring in 1978, he was a Tool and Die Maker for Bridgeport Brass in Indianapolis, IN.

Amos is survived by 1 Son, Dave (Fredda) Scarbrough of Brownsburg, IN; 1 Daughter, Barbara (Harold) Butler of Fishers, IN; and 2 Grandchildren, Mike Green of Acton, IN and Debbie Walker of Noblesville, IN. He is also preceded in death by 1 Brother, Everett Scarbrough and 1 Sister, Cola Agee.

There will be calling hours for Amos from 4-8pm, Friday, February 19, 2010 and from 9-10am Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The Funeral will be at 10am, Saturday, February 20, 2010. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East in Indianapolis, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
