The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of John Mattingly can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Your dad and mine.

I just loved, loved your dad. My dad Robert Rex Jackson grew up with John and he told me stories of all the fun and trouble they would get into as kids. Since we are related, your dad John gave us some neat old photos that my dad did not have and he really cherished them. We still do as my daughter Elena is in DAR and is nuts over geneology too. My dad passed in 2008, so when we got a chance to see your dad, we felt like we had a little piece of our dad still with us here on earth. He was so kind and nice to us. I just wanted you to know how much my sister Vickie Jackson Melvin and I loved him. I live across the street from Barbara and David. My grandmother Jackson lived the next house over from them and then 2 more houses down my Aunt Norma and Uncle Oscar Winkler lived. I am 61 and still live 2 blocks where I grew up. Ragsdale is just like living in the country. My phone is 812-735-3384 and Elena's cell is 812-910-1126. She knows a lot about the geneology as she got in the DAR because of Grandma Mattingly. I know you will miss your dad as I still do both of my parents. I am glad that he got to live a long life though. He is not down by any means as his spirit is "flying" on the other side.  Love, Debbie Jackson Keene
