Obituary for Margaret Jackie Brown (Hapner)
Margaret "Jackie" Brown, 87, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2018 with family by her side. Jackie was born to Otho S. and Martha E. (Keller) Hapner on September 2, 1930 in Indianapolis. She married the late Allan Brown on November 29, 1947.
Jackie was a Bank Teller for Citizen's Bank in Mooresville for nearly 40 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Monrovia Christian Church and a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Mooresville Eastern Star #260. She was an avid sports fan, especially her Cubs. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. She lived in Mooresville and Monrovia for most of her life.
Jackie is survived by a loving son, Richard A. "Pete" Brown of Mooresville; a loving daughter-in-law, Nola Brown of Mooresville; two loving grandchildren, Sara E. Brunnschweiler and Patrick E. Brown. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Maurice E. Brown and David Brown; two brothers, James and Robert Hapner; a sister, Rena Myers.
Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, January 5th and 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. There will be a 7:30 p.m. Eastern Star service on Friday evening at the funeral home. Richard Dickison will officiate Jackie's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning in Jones Family Mortuary. Jackie will be laid to rest in Stilesville Cemetery.
