Obituary for Forsee Mae Ervin (Anderson)

Forsee Mae  Ervin (Anderson)
Forsee Mae (Anderson) Ervin, 89, of North Salem, IN, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2017. She was born to Otis G. "Doc" Anderson and Alifair (Thompson) Anderson on July 14, 1928 in Hillham, IN. She graduated from Cuzco (Indiana) High School in 1945. She married James W. Ervin on August 7, 1948.

Forsee was a Reconciler for American Fletcher National Bank in Indianapolis for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She attended Church of God on West Washington Street in Indianapolis, Greencastle and Mooresville. She enjoyed cooking for Sunday family dinners, was the best pie baker ever, loved vegetable gardening, and canning. She was an avid euchre player and loved bowling. She loved spending time with all of her family. Most of all, she was a loving, caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Forsee is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, James Ervin of North Salem; a loving son, Bill (Vickie) Wilson of Martinsville; a loving daughter, Donna (Paul) Ganote of North Salem; eight grandchildren, David, Joelle, Chris, Autumn and Ryan Wilson, Jeff Ganote, Angela (Ganote) DeBello, and Steve Ganote; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard Anderson of Jasper; six sisters, Faye McWilliams of Indianapolis, Rose Jackson of NC, Jenny Webber of MI, Shelly Bair of Jasper, Carolyn Lea Bauer of Greenwood and Carmen Sue Perry of Jasper. Forsee is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Brenda Hales.

Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 7th and 9- 10 a.m. on Monday, January 8th in Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary, in Mooresville. Pastor Brad Ogden will officiate Forsee's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 8th in Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Forsee will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Monrovia.
