Obituary for William Edward Samuels

William "Bill" Edward Samuels, 74, of Fillmore, passed away on January 18, 2017. Bill was born to Garland A. and Josephine (Bishop) Samuels on March 1, 1942 in Indianapolis. He proudly served as a Veteran of the United States Army.

Bill has been a truck driver all of his life, working most recently for Quinn Trucking in Cartersburg for the past year, Jarbow Trucking in Bainbridge for 3 years and previously self employed for several years. He was a member of Greencastle Eagles Lodge 4388 and Greencastle American Legion. He lived in Fillmore for the past 3 years and lived most of his life in Brooklyn.

Bill is survived by three children, Tim Samuels of Mooresville, Tammy Austin of Brooklyn, Theresa Wilson of Hall; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Patty Lynn of Brooklyn; two brothers, Frank and Garland Samuels of Mooresville; and a loving significant other, Mary Call of Fillmore. He is preceded in death by his parents.

There are no services planned at this time. The arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
