Obituary for Lonnie Bridgman Sr.

Troy Leon "Lonnie" Bridgman Sr., 62, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 7, 2016. Lonnie was born to Troy Burford and Lorene E. (Chambliss) Bridgman on June 23, 1953 in Indianapolis. Lonnie graduated from Mooresville High School in 1972. Lonnie married Donna K. (Smith) Bridgman on June 16, 1973.

Lonnie was a Mechanical Engineer for St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. Previously, he worked as a Custodian for Mooresville High School for 15 years and Decatur Central High School for 6 years. He was a member of Springhill Christian Center. He enjoyed coaching, umpiring, crafts and was an avid sports fan. He lived in Mooresville for most of his life and his birthplace of Indianapolis for 10 years.

Lonnie is survived by his lovely wife of 42 years, Donna K. Bridgman of Mooresville; three children, Troy Leon (Carol) Bridgman Jr. of Mooresville, Anthony Deway Bridgman of Mooresville, Jessica Marie (Tim) Springer of Camby; six grandchildren, Anthony, Zachary, Donald, Dominick, Quincy and Elizabeth Bridgman; two brothers, Gene Bridgman of Martisnville, Stanley Bridgman of Indianapolis; three sisters, Shirley McGrafth of Indianapolis, Karen Moss of Camby and Zonnie Ezell of FL and brother in law, Ron (Jackie) Smith. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Max and Shominick Bridgman; three sisters, Linda Swartz, Teresa Bridgman and Ladonna Ferrell. He also has two special K-9 companions, Spot and Tanner.

Family and friends may gather from 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Springhill Christian Center, Mooresville. Pastor Mark Wright will officiate Lonnie's celebration of life graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, where he will be laid to rest.
