Obituary for Everett E. James

Everett E. "Bud" James, 87, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 15, 2016. Everett was born to Frank and Minnie (Corbett) James on April 4, 1928 in Logansport. He was an Army Veteran, serving during World War II.

Bud was a Delivery Man for Mooresville High School for 13 years, retiring in 2000. Previously, he was a Machinist for Schwitzer Corporation in Indianapolis for 22 years. He was a member of Mooresville American Legion Post #103. He lived in Mooresville since 1974 and Decatur Township for 10 years.

Bud is survived by three children, Jeri (Rick) Hatfield of Mooresville, Linda Long of TN, Dennis (Natalie) James of Coatesville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, La Vonne Gilbert of Indianapolis. He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Danny Lee James; and a daughter, Phyllis Hern.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2016 and 10-11 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Mark Wright will officiate Bud's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Jones Family Mortuary. Bud will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
