Ethel At Alien 3

Ethel At Alien 3

Though she vehemently denies it, in the summer before we moved to Indiana, I went to spend 2 months with Grandma. This was before our move to Indiana, which the rest of the family made in my absence. So it was a nice vacation and a surprise at the end to see my new home in Indiana where I would make great friends and memories.

Me and my Vegas frind Christopher Deer wanted to go to a movie. She loved his family and when we would all hang out, even at her friends pool. Well at the time, the hot movie was Alien 3. My best friend from Texas, Steven Zarate, who spent time with me and my Grandmother, introduced me to the series, and I was excited to see it. But never thought I would until I returned home. By some miraculous turn of events, Grandma and Christopher's mother decided they would take us, even though it was rated R, and his mother, being more aware, said we could.

A few chest poppers and Mother aliens, even a deformed alien/human hybrid baby later, we were ecstatic!

I think Grandma must have been sleeping.

Years later I tried to show her trhe trailer of the movie we saw together and shed says "No way on Earth would I go see that."

"But Grandma, we did, you me and Christopher! Then we went to Pistol Pete's. Don't you remember?"

"I would remember that. Never di it happen."

"O.k. Grandma...whatever (best phrase I ever learned, Thanks Clark Griswald)"

To this day she nevers admits going to see this movie. BUt I know the truth. Maybe upopn reflection now she will realize the truth and, obviously, say "What on Earth was I thinking?!"

I miss you Grandma. Rest in Peace. I love you.
