Christopher C. "Chris" Summers Sr., 55, of Mooresville, IN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was born January 9, 1960 in Indianapolis, IN to Carl and Lois Summers.

Chris was a self employed home repair specialist for C & S Home Repairs. He was a member of Sons of American Legion Post 500, loved gardening, camping and anything outdoors. He was also an avid IU basketball and race fan.

Chris is survived by his wife, Beth Sullivan - Summers of Mooresville; father, Carl H. Summers of Indianapolis; 3 children: Christopher C. "C.J." (Steele) Summers Jr. of Indianapolis, Whitney (Matt) Long of Mooresville and Heather (Kyle) Hruz of New York; 4 grandchildren: Aspen, Logan, Madelynn and Nora; 2 brothers: Mark Summers of Pennsylvania and Greg (Pammi) Summers of Indianapolis; 4 sisters: Susan Blackwell of Indianapolis, Ann (Kevin) Faires of Indianapolis, Jane (Ryan) Simpson of Pittsboro and Nancy (John) Andretti of North Carolina. Chris is preceded in death by his mother, Lois (Gillie) Summers; brother, Tom Summers and son, Zachary Summers.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering from 2 pm to 6 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. There will be a celebration of life memorial service also on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homes For Our Troops, 6 Main Street, Taunton, MA 02780.
