Obituary for Michael David Crafton

Michael David Crafton, 58, Mooresville, died with family by his side on Feb. 15, 2015. Michael was born to Horace and Margaret (Plummer) Crafton on Sept. 26, 1956 in Greencastle. Michael graduated from Mooresville High School in 1975. Michael married Mariruth (Murphy) Crafton on Jan. 17, 1975.

Michael worked in Printing for 35 years as a Pressman in Plainfield. He loved I.U. Basketball and NASCAR Racing. He has been a Mooresville resident all of his life.

Michael is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mariruth Crafton of Mooresville; a daughter, Angela (John) Tarver of Plainfield; mother, Margaret Crafton-DeLong of Mooresville; two grandchildren, Jordyne and Jayden Tarver; two sisters, Jayne (Rick) Stafford and Dana Crafton both of Mooresville and step father, Max DeLong of Mooresville. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Horace Crafton.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Feb. 18, 2015 and 10-11 a.m., Feb. 19, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Jerry Thomas will officiate the 11 a.m. celebration of life service on Feb. 19, 2015 at Jones Family Mortuary. Michael will be entombed in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
