Wilma Jean Armstrong, 78 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Monday, May 5, 2008. She was born October 14, 1929 in Patriot, IN. Wilma married Halstead O. Armstrong on October 4, 1950.
Wilma has lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of her life, Mooresville, IN for 2 years, and her birthplace of Patriot, IN for 21 years. She was a 1947 Patriot High School Graduate and also was a Member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She was a Member of the Mooresville Eastern Star #260 where she was a Past Matron and Grand Representative in Idaho. Wilma was a Phone Operator for the Indiana State Rates Office for 24 years and also worked at the Indiana Deaf School in Indianapolis, IN from 1947-1949. She is survived by her Husband, Halstead O. Armstrong of Indianapolis, IN and 1 Daughter, Pam Kepplin of South Bend, IN.
Calling hours for Wilma will be from 4-7pm, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 and 12noon-1pm, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will also be an Eastern Star Service at 7pm, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will be a Memorial Service at 1pm, Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary with Cecil Moore to officiate.
