Willie Brown 82, of Camby, IN, died Wed., June 15, 2005. He was born December 18, 1922 in Portland, TN to the late Walter and Leasy (Loyd) Brown. He married Peggy Lou (Britt) Brown on July 12, 1952 in Camby; she survives. He was a resident of Camby for the past 49 years, and formerly of Indianapolis for 4 years; and Portland, TN for 15 years. He was a member of the North Madison Baptist Church, Camby. He was a Boiler Engineer for Chrysler Foundry in Indianapolis for 30 years. After retiring in 1981, he was a manager of Bob's Tire Shop for 13 years and a driver for Econo Lodge for 3 years, both in Indianapolis.
In addition to his wife, Peggy Lou, he is survived by his daughter, Rosita Brown; five granddaughters: Tiffany Breeden, Joanne Liston, Cary Kumm, Meigan Kumm and Judith Kumm; 2 great-granddaughters, Victoria Breeden and Brooklyn Wade; two sisters, Mayzelle Carver and Margaret Henson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 20 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, with calling there 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 19. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville; Chris Mussellman and Billy Gott officiating.
