William D. Renfro, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2016. William was born to Frank and Allie May (Burton) Renfro on May 13, 1930 in Springfield, IL. He married Betty Jean (Newberry) Renfro on December 26, 1958. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

William was a Meat Cutter for Stark and Wetzel in Indianapolis for 28 years and a Receiving Clerk for Advo Systems in Indianapolis for 30 years. He enjoyed gardening. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life, Columbia, KY for 14 years and his birthplace of Springfield, IL.

William is survived by four children, Shelley (Richard) Gillum of Greenwood, William A. (Jennifer) Renfro of Martinsville, James Renfro of Indianapolis, Debra Knight of TX; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob Renfro; and a sister, Lois Baulf. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; four brothers; and three sisters.
