William R. Card

William R. "Bill" Card, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, April 28th, 2021. He was born July 15th, 1951 in Indianapolis to his parents, Robert E. and Mildred L. (Wall) Card. He married Georgia (Firkins) Card on September 9th, 1972. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur Township. Bill is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Georgia (Firkins) Card of Indianapolis; two sons: Scott (Kim) Card of Indianapolis and Chris (Mandy) Card of Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren: Kayla, Haley, Scotty, Breanna, Abigail, William, and Kendalee. Bill is preceded in death by both of his parents. Bill was a 1969 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He retired as a General Manager of mechanical maintenance on semis in 2016. He was the owner and operator of G&B Lawn Care and Hayworks. Bill loved the outdoors, all sports, spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 pm on Monday, May 3th and from 10-11am on Tuesday, May 4th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville. Steve Bolin will officiate a celebration of life service at 11 am on Tuesday, May 4th at the banquet center. Bill will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton. We welcome family and friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines and proper mask wearing.
