Wayne was a proud graduate of Monrovia High School, class of 1954! He dedicated 25 wonderful years as a Materials Handler and Pharmaceutical Technician at Eli Lilly before retiring in 1993. After that, he enjoyed giving back to the community as a crossing guard for the Mooresville School Corporation.

Wayne was a cherished member of Five Points Baptist Church and had previously been part of First Baptist Church in Mooresville, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. His passion for life included fishing and cheering for his favorite sports teams, like the Cincinnati Reds, Indiana University, Purdue, the Indiana Pacers, the Indianapolis Colts, and of course, the Mooresville Pioneers, his hometown team!

Known for his kind heart and sunny disposition, Wayne had a remarkable ability to see the glass as half full. He had a friendly demeanor and could make friends wherever he went. Wayne was incredibly grateful for his family, who considered him their rock. He also had a sentimental side, holding dear the things and memories that mattered most to him.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1 pm on Friday, March 14th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Wayne will be laid to rest during a graveside service to be held at 2:30 pm at Mt. Pleasant Hall Cemetery in Hall, Indiana.
