Wanda L. (Garrett) Lloyd, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, December 25th, 2022. She was born January 20th, 1947 in Pennington Gap, Virginia to her parents Hobart and Arleen (Crusenberry) Garrett, where she was a resident for her early childhood. She married Sherman F. "Lucky" Lloyd on November 3rd, 1967. She was a resident of Mooresville during her teenage years. She was a resident of Indianapolis for most of her life.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Sherman F. "Lucky" Lloyd of Indianapolis; one son, Chris (Angela) Lloyd of Avon; one daughter, Deanna (Chris) Bloomer of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren: Zachary, Kaitlynn, Clay, Jacob, Corrine, and Abby Lloyd, and Nicholas and Jackson Bloomer; four great grandchildren: Sydney, Rhett, Lolah, and Zoie Anne; two brothers: Hobart Garrett Jr., and Chris Garrett; and two sisters: Diane Autry and Angie Jett. Wanda is preceded in death by both of her parents; two brothers: Mack Garrett and Richard Garrett; and one sister, Brenda Qualizza.
Wanda was a 1965 graduate of Mooresville High School. She was a member of Mars Hill Free Methodist Church. Wanda enjoyed working with arts and crafts and was very talented working with ceramics. She was a very giving woman and made sure no one went hungry.
Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, December 30th and from 10:30 to 11:30 am on Saturday, December 31st at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:30 am following visitation at the funeral home. Wanda will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
