Wanda Joan Hobson

Wanda "Joan" (Ernest) Hobson, 84, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, September 15th, 2021. She was born March 10th, 1937 in Indianapolis to her parents, Robert A. and Grace Belle (Schotts) Ernest. She married Louis I. Hobson on February 5th, 1955. Although she was a resident of Indianapolis for 71 years, in 2008 she became a resident of Mooresville. Joan is survived by her three children: Louis T. (Tena) Hobson of Indianapolis, Robert E. (Jennifer) Hobson of Mooresville; and Kimberly A. (Danny) Wilson of Carmel; 13 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Darlene Hobson. Joan is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Louis I. Hobson; and one son, Brian S. Hobson. Joan was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School. She worked as a Ticketing Clerk for the Airport Authority for 20 years. Joan loved to read and she enjoyed traveling and going to car shows. She also enjoyed cooking and listening to music. Joan loved to collect Native American artwork. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Joan was known for being a tough old bird but had a very funny personality.
