Virgil Dilbone

Virgil T. Dilbone, 70 of Martinsville, IN passed away Sunday, November 18, 2007. He was born December 5, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Gerald Dilbone and the late Leone (Moody) Dilbone. Virgil married the late Helen Louise (Bain) Dilbone on April 28, 1999. Virgil lived in Martinsville, IN for a short time. He also lived in Mooresville, IN for 20 years, New York for 27 years, and his birthplace of Indianapolis, IN for 23 years. Virgil was in the Army and was a member of the Northview Christian Church in Danville, IN. He loved to work puzzles and before retiring in 1978, he was a Machine Operator for GE in New York for 25 years. Virgil is survived by 8 Children: Jeff Dilbone of Indianapolis, IN, Debbie, James, and Michael Dilbone of New York, Sheralyn Czarnecky of New York, Geralyn McMurphy of New York, Christina Riddle of Martinsville, IN, and Damien Dilbone of Greenwood, IN; 10 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Mary Rodney of Danville, IN and Ida Magee of Indianapolis, IN; 1 Brother, Don Dilbone of Brooklyn, IN; and Special Friends: Chuck and Sharon Benefiel and family. Calling hours for Virgil will be from 2-3pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 with a Memorial Service beginning at 3pm, Wednesday, November 21, 2007 both held at Jones Family Mortuary. Jeffrey R. Castetter will officiate the Memorial Service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Virgil Dilbone Family Fund in care of Don Dilbone.
