Victor Bowling

Victor Bowling, 63, of Indianapolis, IN passed away May 2, 2006. He was born November 23, 1942 in Letcher, KY to the late Jepp and Martha (Caudill) Bowling. He was married to Joanna (Back) Bowling on August 1, 1966. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life. He worked at Yellow Freight and AN&R a Dockman in Indianapolis for several years. He also worked in Heat Treat at Link Belt in Indianapolis for 12 years. He was a member of Teamster's Union Local # 135. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Letcher, KY High School in 1960 and attended Indiana Mortuary College and graduated with Honors. Victor is survived by: his spouse, Joanna Bowling of Indianapolis, his daughter Vicky (Jim)Shelton of Greenwood, his granddaughter, Meredith Joanne Shelton of Greewood, 3 sisters: Inas Boring, Cleda Hampton of OH, and Eunice Mullins of Indianapolis, 2 brothers, Vernon and Wayne Bowling of KY. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Vaughn, Vance and Virgil Bowling and 3 sisters: Clara Bowling, Fondie Logan, and Faye Boyd. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, Friday, May 5, 2006 with the funeral at 10am, Saturday, May 6, 2006 both at JONES FAMILY MORTUARY. Paul George, Ron Bowen, and Steve Goens will be officiating the service. Victor will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
