Velta Faye Davidson

Faye Davidson, 91, of Camby, passed away Thursday, August 24th, 2023. She was born March 8th, 1932 in Stonington, Kentucky to her parents Ottis and Maggie (Horn) Bishop. She married the late Charlie R. Davidson on December 16th, 1950.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Tina Grow of Mooresville; two sisters; Mary Jones of Joliet, Illinois and Sue Jupin of Forrest, Illinois; three grandchildren: Marie (Kevin) Hammack of Brooklyn, Indiana, Brandy Stott of Huntsville, Alabama, and Felicia (Matt) Janz of Greenfield, Indiana; eight great grand children; and three great - great grandchildren. Faye is preceded in death by both her parents; her husband, Charlie Davidson; two sons: Charles and Larry Davidson: one granddaughter, Jessica Young.

Faye worked for 40 years at Central Coil - XMFRS as a supervisor. While having held various positions at Central Coil during her years there, she enjoyed most of all teaching and working with the new employees. Central Coil was like a second home to Faye.

Most recently, Faye was a member of Vertical Church in Plainfield, Indiana. Previously, she served as North Madison Baptist Church Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher. Faye enjoyed reading, gardening, and canning. Her favorite thing to do was playing games or shopping with the kids. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Faye is best described as having been helpful, loving, and kind.

Family and Friends may show their love and support from 12pm - 2pm on Tuesday, August 29th 2023 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Chris Gilbert will officiate the Celebration of Life Service following visitation at 2pm in the Funeral Home. Faye will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charlie Ress Davidson, in West Newton Cemetery.
