Toni Vanoy

Toni B. (Reed) Vanoy, 79, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on December 28, 2016. Toni was born to Alva and Ruby (Burns) Reed on November 6, 1937 in Hustonville, KY. Toni married Boyd L. Vanoy on July 30, 1955.

Toni was a homemaker. She attended Eternal Life Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing, listening to country-western and blue grass music, being outdoors, gardening, flowers, crocheting, knitting, sewing, humming birds, red birds, the color red, and was a Kentucky Wildcat fan. She lived in Mooresville for most of her life.

Toni is survived by a son, Jeff R. Vanoy of Mooresville; a daughter, Tina (Kevin) Poynter of Camby; three grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Savanna; a great-grandson, Gavin; a sister, Verla Jones of KY; a brother, Jimmie Reed of KY; and special companion of 17 years, Paul Scott of Mooresville. Toni is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Johnny Vanoy; a sister, Jeanette Hallam; and two brothers, TC and Garland Reed.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, December 30, 2016 and 9-10 a.m on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Pastor Don Endsley will officiate Toni's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary. Toni will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
