Timothy Ray "Tim" Hatmaker, born on July 25, 1957, in Indianapolis, to his parents Millard "Ray" and Sylvia Ann (Cox) Hatmaker, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, in Mooresville. Known for his jovial spirit and unmistakable stubbornness, Tim lived a life rich with love and laughter, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
Tim was a proud graduate of Mooresville High School and he dedicated himself to his work as a truck driver, for more than 40 years. A dependable and hardworking man, Tim was known not only for his commitment to his job but also for the stories and jokes he loved to share. Whether he was mowing his lawn, enjoying a day on the water, or cheering for the Indianapolis Colts, Tim took pleasure in the simple joys of life, especially those moments spent with family.
He is survived by his his loving daughter, Morgan Beaven, who is joined by her husband, Drake and his beloved son, Shaun Hatmaker. He was a proud grandfather to Charlotte and bonus grandson, Hank, while eagerly anticipated the arrival of another grandson. Tim's family also includes his sister, Teresa Anderson (Don), his sister-in-law, Debbie Hatmaker, and three cherished nephews: Darren Hatmaker, Daniel Hatmaker, and Jamey McKee. Tim's lifelong friendship with David Scott was a source of strength and joy throughout his life.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Sylvia Hatmaker, and his son, Joshua Hatmaker. He also mourned the loss of his brother and best friend, Joe Hatmaker, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Tim's life will be held with compassion and reverence. The first public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and a second visitation on Friday, July 17 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. The following morning, on July 17, 2026, at 11:00 AM, a funeral service will be held to honor his memory, with a graveside service at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.

Tim's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and while he may have departed from this world, his legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering friendship will forever remain a guiding light in our lives.
