Thomas Sr.

Thomas E. Wise Sr., 74, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2014. Thomas was born to John M. and Esther M. (Conder) Wise on August 30, 1939 in Maywood. Thomas was a Vietnam War Army Veteran. Thomas married Mona (Starlin) Wise) on September 12, 1988. Thomas was a Job Setter for General Motors Allison Division for 33 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of the UAW Local 933. He enjoyed horse racing and model cars. He has lived in Plainfield for the past five years and Indianapolis for most of his life. Thomas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mona Wise of Plainfield; five children, Esther Ann (Jerry) Hobbs, Thomas E. (Julie) Wise, Linda G. Stone, Michael W. Wise and Stevie (Samantha) Morgan; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandson; a brother, Lee (Teresa) Wise and a sister, Patricia Adams. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, John and Esther Wise and a brother, Alfred Wise. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 3-8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 and 10:30-11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Roger Foggin will officiate the 11:30 a.m. celebration of life service on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary.
