Tom Jester lost his battle with cancer on June 26, 2006 at his home in rural Monrovia. Tom courageously battled Pancreatic Cancer for 14 months. He underwent each treatment with an unbeatable determination.
Thomas Harvey Jester was born on June 13, 1952 to the late Virginia Clark Jester and Melvin Otto Jester in Noblesville, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa, of Monrovia; sons Beau of Indianapolis, IN, and Vince of Monrovia, IN; sisters Mrs. Charles Glaze (Judith), Mrs. Gary Bibler (Cynthia), Mrs. John Harrison (Susan) and Mrs. Jeff Messer (Jenny); many Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Tom also leaves a Daughter in Law, Sharon, of Indianapolis, IN; Mother in Law and Father in Law, Marilyn and Wiley Truesdel of Gosport, IN; and Grandmother in Law, Velma Butcher of Mooresville, IN; as well as many friends who proved invaluable and a wonderful source of support throughout his brave fight.
Tom was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy.
At the time of his death, Tom was employed by Con-Way Freight as a Driver Sales Associate. Prior to Con-Way, he had been employed by Schneider National Carriers as an Over the Road Driver and Training Engineer.
Tom was honored to be a member of Zion Baptist Fellowship Church in Eminence, IN. A 2:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Tom's life on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Jones Family Mortuary, with one hour of visiting prior to the service in Mooresville, IN. Pastor Kevin DeAngelo will officiate.
