Thomas Edward Clevenger

Thomas Edward Clevenger, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18th, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Indianapolis to his parents Ralph Delbert and Mary Helen (Padgett) Clevenger on July 28th, 1951. He married Joyce Ann (Shearin) Clevenger on May 6th, 1988. He spent most of his early years in Mooresville, Indiana.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joyce Ann Clevenger of Indianapolis; two devoted children: Tracy Bonds (Robert) of Camby and Damon Clevenger (Evan Wallace) of Indianapolis; sister, Karen Galloway; two brothers: Danny and Kenny Clevenger; two grandsons: Nick and Jackson Bonds; and one great grandson, Calvin Nicholas Bonds. Tom is preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister, Linda Higgins.

Tom devoted his life to craftsmanship, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary with his skilled hands and unique vision. He found joy in music and playing the guitar, nurturing his plants, camping, fishing and boating and spending time with family and friends. Tom never met a stranger; his warmth and humor endeared him to everyone, making him the heart of any gathering. As the family's patriarch, he was a steadfast protector, a guiding leader, and unwaveringly loyal. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, October 23rd at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville. Public sharing of memories will start at 7pm Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
