Teresa G. Maxwell

Teresa G. (Ellis) Maxwell, 61, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, December 8th, 2021. She was born April 13th, 1960 in Murray, Kentucky to her parents, Johnie J. Ellis and Frances. She spent her early childhood in Murray, Kentucky, then resided in both Florida and Indiana, and finally settled down in Mooresville. Teresa is survived by her two daughters: Tina Matthew of Mooresville and Selena (Jonathan) Robey of Mooresville; six grandchildren: Austin, Scott, Olivia, Lauren, Dakota, and Nicholas; one great grandson, Norman Matthew; and siblings: Cheryl, Jay, Dena, and Renee. Teresa is preceded in death by her parents: Johnie and Martha Ellis; her birth mother, Frances; one sister, Jackie; and one brother, Johnie Ray. Teresa was a 1978 graduate of Monrovia High School. She was an Insurance Agent in Florida and later on a cashier for TA in Clayton, Indiana. She was known as the "Chicken Lady" at the Wilbur Corner Store. Teresa attended West Newton Worship and Youth Center in West Newton. She enjoyed gardening and antiquing, and was very creative and loved repurposing. Teresa was an avid animal lover, especially of Bella and Little Man. She will be known for always being entertaining of those around her and will be missed by many. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, December 13th and from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday, December 14th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 14th following visitation at the funeral home. Teresa will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
