Suzanne "Sue" Smith

Suzanne "Sue" Katherine (Stevens) Smith, 74, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2018. She was born on June 13, 1943 to Harold Stevens and Hazel (Abdon) Skinner in Indianapolis. She graduated from Manual High School in 1961. She married James R. Smith on April 18, 1969.

Sue is survived by four loving children, Mike (Corrie) Stevens of Indianapolis, Jim (Sherry) Smith of TX, Marianne (Tony) Brown of Indianapolis and Rex (Lori) Smith of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Jamie Sue Smith; a son, Bob Smith; a brother, Charles Harold Stevens; and a granddaughter, Amy Aguayo.

Sue was a Customer Service Representative for IPL in Indianapolis for 40 years. She enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. She loved her dogs. Her favorite memory was following her children's and grandchildren's activities.

Family and friends may gather to pay their respects from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th and 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19th in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Charles Paxton will officiate Sue's celebration of life service at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 19th in Jones Family Mortuary. Sue will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.
