Susan Elaine "Susie" Tipton

Susan Elaine "Susie" (McQueen) Tipton, 57, of Camby, passed away Sunday, April 6th, 2025. She was born June 5th, 1967 in Beech Grove to her parents William "Bill" and E. Marlene (Winters) McQueen. On September 20th, 1986, she married Troy Tipton. While the couple had since separated, they are the proud parents of two sons they share together.

Susie is survived by her two sons: Zachary Tipton of Camby and Matthew Tipton (Laura) of Bargersville; her granddaughter, Amelia Jade Ho-Tipton; her mother, Marlene McQueen of Greenwood; siblings: Bill McQueen (Sandy) of Mooresville, Stephanie Gilles (Warren) of Seattle, Washington, and John McQueen (Craig Bott) of North Port, Florida; her furry grandkids: Oddy, Presley- Ryleigh, and CoCo Chanel; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and several close friends.

Susie is preceded in death by her father, William McQueen, and her sisters: Debbie McQueen-Chekoff and Candace Arlene McQueen.

Susie, a proud graduate of Mooresville High School in 1985, later earned her Associate's degree from Ivy Tech in Electrocardiography and Health Care Support. As a hairdresser, she dedicated most of her life to making others feel beautiful, spending her final 3 years at Tres Chic in Mooresville and previous 5 years at Shear Illusions in Mooresville. A gifted artist, she expressed her creativity through painting and possessed a spirited love for playing slot machines. Her passion for animals, especially dogs and horses, showcased her nurturing side. Known for her ability to tackle any challenge, she embodied strength and resilience. Susie was an incredible woman with a heart of gold, caring deeply for everyone she encountered. She will always be fondly remembered by everyone as a wonderfully beautiful Christian woman, inside and out.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm on Monday, April 14th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
