Stephen Estil Russell Sr, 58, of Speedway, IN, died on March 7, 2012. Stephen was born to Howard Lee Russell & Mildred Jean (Hurston) Carter on November 12, 1953 in Cincinnati, OH. Stephen was a Marine Corp. Vietnam War Veteran. Stephen married Janice K. Russell on March 1, 1980. Stephen was a Machinest for Bridgeport Brass for 10 years. He also worked as a Truck Driver and Electrician. He lived most of his life in the Mooresville/Monrovia, IN area. He was a member of ABATE. Stephen was also a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Among many other things, Stephen left us as an avid motorcycle rider. Stephen is survived by his wife, Janice K. Russell of Indianapolis, IN; 4 sons, Bill and Beth Ford of Greencastle, IN, Stephen and Amy Russell of Camby, IN, Mikey & Mandi Russell of Greencastle, IN & Ryan & Nicki Russell of Mooresville, IN; mother, Mildred Jean (Hurston) Carter of Indianapolis, IN; 17 grandchildren; 3 brothers & 2 sisters. Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Howard Lee Russell; 2 granddaughters, Morgan Alyssa Russell & Krissaleigh Rae Ford & a brother, Rick Russell. Calling for Stephen will be from 10am-1pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1150 State Road 144, Mooresville, IN. Everett Barnard will officiate the 1pm funeral service on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Stephen will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN.
