Stephen A. Shanklin

Stephen A. Shanklin, 53, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, January 19th, 2021. He was born December 25th, 1967 in Selma, Alabama to his parents, Max O. Shanklin and Kay Ann (Cravens) McBride. Stephen grew up in Decatur Township and was a resident of Mooresville since 2015. Stephen is survived by his daughter, Chelsey Shanklin of Plainfield, Illinois; his son, Jackson Shanklin of Plainfield, Illinois; his mother, Kay Ann (Cravens) McBride; his girlfriend, Charlotte Gregory; the mother of his children, Shannon Wildenradt; and two sisters: Melanie Coleman and Julie Roberts. Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Max O. Shanklin and his brother, Michael Shanklin. Stephen was a 1986 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He was an entrepreneur and enjoyed working outdoors on his many projects. Stephen was an avid Alabama football fan.
