Steve is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Karen (Klepfer) Leggitt of Camby; three children: Stephen Paul Daniel (Alison) Leggitt of Camby, Heather Marie (Michael) Foubert of Danville, and Patrick Daniel Leggitt of Camby; seven grandchildren: Marissa Leggitt, Ryleigh Leggitt, Callie Foubert, Gracie Foubert, Julie Foubert, Colton Wells, and Cierra Wells; two sisters: Terry Diane (Jeff) Ramsey of Mooresville and Kelly Lynn (Randy) Ramsey of Mooresville; one nephew Cory Ramsey; and one niece, Trish Thomas. Steve is preceded in death by both of his parents. Steve was a 1979 graduate of Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. He was the Owner and Operator of Leggitt Saw and Tool in Indianapolis for over 25 years. Steve was a long-time member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church where he previously served as Deacon. He and his family camped at Old Mill Run Park in Thorntown, Indiana, for over 30 years. Steve had a great love for his family. He enjoyed his John Deere lawn tractor and anything mechanical. He loved working in his wood workshop and making things. Private visitation and services are being held for immediate family only at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Steve will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton. An additional memorial service will be held at a later date. With the new instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings up to 25 people, the family asks that the visitation and services be limited to family only.
