Stephen A. Albaugh

Stephen A. "Steve" Albaugh, 76, of Avon, passed away Saturday, June 3rd, 2023. He was born September 11th, 1946 in Washington, Indiana to his parents Carrol D. and Hazel L. (Gibson) Albaugh. He married Becky L. Albaugh on June 4th, 1966. He was a resident of Avon since 1971.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Becky L. (Bauer) Albaugh; one son, Stephen "Scott" Albaugh of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Julia Albaugh Thomas of Indianapolis; three grandchildren: Zachary R. Thomas, Karli A. (Nick) Thomas Chesser; and Cassidy E. Thomas; one great granddaughter, Kleo Tyne Chesser; three sisters: Stephanie (Jim) Jones, Pamela Mundy, and Alice Horsting; two brothers: Tom (Linda) Albaugh and Nick (Sylvia) Albaugh; and several nieces and nephews. Steve is preceded in death by both of his parents; son in law, Roger Thomas; and two brothers in law: Jim Mundy and Tom Horsting.

Steve was a 1964 graduate of Shoals High School in Shoals, Indiana. He was a Crane Operator for Maxim Cranes for 36 years before retiring in 2006. Steve was a member of Local 103 International Operating Engineers. He enjoyed all things outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Steve also loved woodworking.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 10th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm following visitation at the banquet center. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
