James O. Tuck, Sr., age 76, of Indianapolis, died Monday, November 14, 2005. He was born Aug. 26, 1929 in Detroit, MI to George F. Tuck and Fern J. (Morgan) Tuck. He spent most of his life in Monrovia, IN and 32 years in Martinsville, IN. On October 27, 1967 James married Janet M. (Law) Tuck. Before retiring in 1988, he was a machinest for General Motors Allison's Transmission Plant 3 in Indianapolis for 20 years. Previously, he was a driver for Maplehurst and Colonial Bread Co. in Indianapolis for several years. Mr Tuck also served in the Army as a PFC (T) 2 during the Korean War. He was a member of Roberts Park United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Monrovia Masonic Lodge #654, Member and Past Worthy Patron of the Martha Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Martinsville American Legion and UAW #933. He was a 1948 graduate of Monrovia High School. Survivors include spouse Janet M. (Law) Tuck of Indianapolis; 11 children, James (Cindy) Tuck, Jr., Joan (William) Crockett, Janice Bailey, Jennifer Saron, Jannette Franzen, Jerry (Shawn) Tuck, George (Gina) Tuck, Charles (Debra) Rodeghier, Richard (Jill) Rodeghier, Julie (Beal) Hardy and T.J. (Deborah) Rodeghier; sister Juanita Rushton; 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew. He is preceded in death by parents and niece Roberta Miller. Visitation will be 2-8pm, Wednesday, November 16, 2005 and one hour prior to service at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. The Funeral will be at 1pm, Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. James will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 9135 North Meridian St., Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
