Shirley Jane Smith

Shirley Jane (Everts) Smith, 92, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1st, 2020. She was born December 21st, 1927 in Indianapolis to her parents, Fred and Bessie (Tullis) Everts. She married Wallace E. Smith on September 7th, 1945. She was a resident of Indianapolis for 26 years and lived in Center Grove for 42 years. Shirley most recently resided in Mooresville for 23 years. Shirley is survived by her two sons: Kevin Smith of Mooresville and Brian (Denise) Smith of Michigan; five grandchildren: Geoff, Keith, Greg, Cassie and Booker Smith; and 3 great grandchildren: Walker, Cooper and Teddy Smith. Shirley is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Wallace E. Smith; and two sons: Philip and Eric Smith. Shirley was a 1945 graduate of Indianapolis Howe High School. She was a Homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, ceramics and gardening. She was a member of Ellettsville 7th Day Adventist Church. Shirley was a self educated master of crafts. Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1 pm on Friday, June 5th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A Celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, June 5th at the funeral home. Shirley will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood.
