Shirley M. Mitchell

Shirley M. (Snow) Mitchell, 82, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022. Shirley was born in Ft. Scott, KS on June 21, 1940 to the late Fred Mallard Snow and Mamie (Mane) Cale. She married the late Johnnie Jackson Mitchell on May 3, 1958.

Shirley lived 17 years in Ft. Scott, KS, Justin, TX for 23 years, Indianapolis for 28 years and Mooresville for 4 years. She worked in quality control for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis for 33 years before retiring in 2002. She was an avid golfer having played for years in the Lilly Ladies league. Shirley enjoyed racing dune buggies and gardening. She was also loved dogs and butterflies.

Shirley is survived by her 4 children: Tonya Burns of TX, Johnnie Jackson Mitchell of TX, Jerry Allen Mitchell of Mooresville and Kevin Dwayne Mitchell of TX; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Billie Snow of TX.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers: Gary Edward and Robert "Bob" Snow and sister, Betty Taverner.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
