Sherry Sichting

Sherry L. Sichting, 64, of Monrovia passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. Sherry was born on April 15, 1947 in Martinsville, IN to Sylvanus "Banta" C. Finchum and Edna M. (Shields) Finchum. She married the late Merrill L. Sichting on September 30, 1966. Sherry lived all of her life in Monrovia. She was a 1965 graduate of Monrovia High School, she worked for USF&G in Indianapolis for 17 years and Indiana Insurance for 10 years. Since 2001 Sherry worked for Meijer in Camby as a Customer Service Rep. Sherry was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #115 in Plainfield and also Order of the Eastern Star Martha Chapter #217. Sherry is survived by 2 children: Jeff (Sara) Sichting of Monrovia and Tonya (Tim) Smith of Monrovia; 3 step children: Bruce (Rhonda) Huntsucker of MO, Mark (Renee) Huntsucker of MO and Brenda (Joel) Weems of FL; 5 grandchildren and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Larry and Roy "Beak" Finchum; 4 sisters: Betty Rogers, Patty Ashley, Nancy Keene and Katy Chapple. Sherry is preceded by her parents; husband; grandson, Dustin Sichting and sister, Mary Hadley. Visitation will be 4-8pm, Friday, March 2, 2012 and 10-11am, Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Funeral services will be at 11am, Saturday, March 3, 2012 also at Jones Family Mortuary with Jack Elliott officiating. Sherry will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, IN.
