Sherry Lynn Crews (Summers)

Sherry Lynn (Summers) Crews, 70, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, May 12th, 2025. She was born March 23rd, 1955 in Mooresville to her parents Dean Summers and Shirley (Delp) Ross. She married Gary P. Crews on September 30th, 1977.

Sherry is survived by her husband of nearly 48 years, Gary Crews of Mooresville; one daughter, Sara Ann Wingate (Tim) of Mooresville; grandson, Colson Dean Wingate of Mooresville; her mother, Shirley (Delp) Ross of Mooresville; and brother, Jerry Summers (Theresa).

Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Dean Summers and brother, Kirk Summers.

Sherry, a proud graduate of Mooresville High School in 1973, pursued her dreams by attending business school. For 17 years, she soared the skies as a flight attendant for Republic Airways, embracing the adventures of travel. Her favorite places to travel were Greece, London, Amsterdam, and Ireland. A dedicated member of the Teamsters, she found joy in exploring the world and ignited her passion for culinary arts in the kitchen, especially making family recipes. Sherry enjoyed sewing, mending any item of clothing for those in need. Her husband lovingly called her an angel, a testament to her radiant spirit. She was a friend to all that knew her and was loved by so many.

Family and friends will gather at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
