Sharon Ann Mann

Sharon Ann (Cobb) Mann, 80, of Paragon, passed away Wednesday, February 21st, 2024. She was born September 23rd, 1943 in Spottsville, Kentucky to her parents Fred and Edith Imogene (Smithhart) Cobb. She was married to the late Tom Edward Albright on April 19th, 1960. Through her love of music, she later met Gerald Dean "Gary" Mann and the two married on August 19th, 1984.

Sharon is survived by her four children: Sherri Lee Shidler of Indianapolis, Tommy Eugene Allbright Sr. (Tammy) of Paragon, Tina Marie Thompson (Scott) of Paragon; and Patrick Lewis Mann (Jennifer) of Paragon; 9 grandchildren: Clayton Shidler, Clinton Shidler, Andrea Shidler, Kristian Souder, Tommy Allbright Jr., Jasmine Taylor, Jacob Turner, Dylan Turner, and Bryon Sizemore; 22 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother in-law, James Owens.

Sharon is preceded in death by both of her parents; first husband, Tom Edward Albright, her husband, Gerald Dean Mann; daughter, Virginia Martin; grandson, Jody Sizemore; great grandson, Aiden Stewart-Shidler; and siblings: Oswald Cobb, Tommy Cobb, Bud Cobb, Roger Cobb, Opal Rust, Ruth Goodwin, and Wanda Harvell.

Sharon retired from FedEx after 5 years in 2017. She was a member of New Life Christian Church in Paragon for five years. Sharon was a singer songwriter and loved playing music, especially the guitar and singing. Along with her late husband Gary, the two wrote multiple songs and had patented albums through Hilltop Records in Nashville, Tennessee. Sharon enjoyed fishing, gardening, going to the casino, the slot machines were her favorite, spending time with family and helping others in need. Taking into her home, anyone who needed a warm meal. She loved making jams with her grandkids. Sharon was known by many as a loving, spunky, fiery, generous, stubborn, selfless, a fighter, a very strong-willed woman, and Unofficial Nascar Driver. Sharon was the last one living out of her siblings. She was known by her family as GG, granny and "Shifty."

Family and friends may show their love and support from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday, February 28th at New Life Christian Church in Paragon. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 pm following visitation at the church. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.

Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's memory to New Life Christian Church in Paragon or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
