Ruth E. Stoner

Ruth E. (Craig) Stoner, 98, of Mooresville, passed away Monday, September 6th, 2021. She was born May 10th, 1923 in Indianapolis to her parents, Leo and Lillian (Ostertag) Craig, where she lived most of her childhood. Ruth married Leonard A. Stoner in 1949 and was a resident of Mooresville for the majority of her life. Ruth is survived by her three loving children: Steve Stoner of Mooresville, Mark (Connie) Stoner of Roachdale, and Ruth Ann Stoner of Mooresville; four grandchildren: Scott (Casey) Styer, Jesse (Shannon) Styer, Jessica (Ryan) Sigler, and Zach Stoner; and three great grandchildren: Jason, Sarah, and Samson. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband; both of her parents; two brothers, Robert Craig and Joe Craig; and two sisters, Betty Burns and Dorothy Taylor. Ruth was a 1942 graduate of Ben Davis High School. She was a secretary at Ben Davis Junior High School for 18 years before retiring. Ruth was a past member of Brooklyn Christian Church. She enjoyed taking care of children and spending time with her family. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, September 8th and from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Thursday, September 9th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 9th at the Funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
