Ruth Elaine Shue

Ruth Elaine (Campton) Shue, 76, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021. She was born December 19th, 1944 in Miami, Florida to her parents, James E. and Dorothy M. (Bever) Campton. She married Charles F. Shue on August 29th, 1964. She was a resident of Mooresville for most of her life. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of nearly 57 years, Charles F. Shue of Mooresville; two sons: Greg (Billie) Shue and Doug (Missy) Shue of Mooresville; two grandchildren: Jessie and Zach Shue; and one sister, Sue Woodruff of Mooresville. Ruth is preceded in death by both of her parents. Ruth was a 1962 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. She worked for Eli Lilly as a Process Operator for over 30 years before retiring in 2004. Ruth took great pride in raising her two boys and spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading and working in the yard. Family and friends may show their love and support for a memorial gathering from 12 pm (noon) to 2 pm on Sunday, February 28th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. With the new instructions issued by the State allowing gatherings up to 100 people, we welcome friends to pay respects while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines and proper mask wearing.
