Ruth Lohman

Ruth M. Whitman Lohman, 87, Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on March 19, 2014, Ruth was born to Thomas Northrup and Esther (McGuire) Hoagland on Nov. 17, 1926 in Indianapolis, IN. Ruth married Ralph E. Lohman on Nov. 6, 1981. Ruth was a Homemaker. She was a member of Springhill Christian Center. She loved reading. She has lived in Mooresville since 1970. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Ralph E. Lohman; a daughter, Marsha (Jerry) Lingle; two sons, Dick (Doris) Whitman and Rusty (Linda) Whitman; a step daughter, Shirley (Norman) Heckman; three step sons, Gary (Teresa) Lohman, Michael and Randall Lohman; 20 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren; and a daughter in law, Janice Whitman. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Northrup and Esther Hoagland; first husband, Frank Whitman and a son, Frank Whitman. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, March 23, 2014 and 10-11 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Richard Whitman will officiate the 11 a.m. celebration of life funeral on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Jones Family Mortuary. Ruth will be laid to rest at Washington Park East.
