Russell E. Soots

Russell E. Soots, 85, of Camby, passed away Monday, January 31st, 2022. He was born April 30th, 1936 in Indianapolis to his parents, Edward and Dorothy (Oliver) Soots. He married the late, Shirley (Kingery) Soots in June of 1995. Russell is survived by three grandchildren: Jessica Soots, Josie and Michael Harvey; three great grandchildren: Damien Soots, Lillith Fritz, Aubrey, Brodie, and Asher Davis; and one sister: Debbie Stapleton; his son in law, Michael Harvey of Camby. Russell is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Shirley (Kingery) Soots; one son, Russell Soots, one daughter, Kim Harvey; two brothers: Charles and Edward Soots; and two sisters: Louise Ooley and Dorothy Scaggs. Russell was a Laborer for Automotive Armature for 25 years before retiring in 1998. He loved following the news and weather. Russell enjoyed fishing at a younger age and was an avid coin collector. Family and friends may show their love and support from 12pm (noon) to 2 pm on Monday, February 7th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2pm following visitation at the funeral home. Russell will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville next to his wife, Shirley.
