Roscoe Chapple

Roscoe "Buddy" C. Chapple, 57, of Monrovia, IN died Friday, September 21, 2007. He was born February 25, 1950 to Vernon Newton Chapple and Lois Jeannette (Rowles) Chapple. He founded the Monroe Township Rescue Squad in 1978, former Chief of Monroe Township Fire Department and IBEW Local #1395. He was an overhead line foreman and assistant engineer for Indianapolis Power and Light for 35 years, retiring in 2007. Mr. Chapple was a 1968 graduate of Decatur Central High School. Contributions may be made to the Monroe Township Fire Department. Services will be at 10am Tuesday, September 25, 2007 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, IN, with calling there from 4 to 8pm Monday, September 24, 2007. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, IN. He was preceded in death by parents; twin daughters, Brandy and Kandy Chapple and brother, Vernon Chapple. Survivors include wife, Katy (Finchum) Chapple of Monrovia, IN; children, Bill (Ranae) Pruitt of Kansas City, MO, Jessica Chapple of Avon, IN; four grandchildren, Ashley and Adam Pruitt, Austin and Taylor Smith; sister, Shirley Lindeman; brother, Bill Chapple.
