Roger Young

Roger Kent Young, 55 passed away Monday, August 13, 2007. He was born November 17, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to Charles and Loueva (Hinkle) Young. Roger has lived in Camby, IN for most of his life. He was a 1970 Decatur Central High School Graduate and attended IU (Bloomington) for 1 year. He was an Army Veteran and was a member of the West Newton United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the U.A.W. Union. Currently, he had been a Tool & Die Maker for Allison Transmission in Indianapolis, IN for the past 30 years. Roger is survived by 3 Children: Destiny E. Young of Camby, IN, Derek E. Young of Camby, IN, and Chelsea S. Young of Camby, IN; Parents, Charles and Loueva Young of Camby, IN; 2 Brothers, Ronnie Young of Indianapolis, IN and Chuck Young of Camby, IN. He is also preceded in death by Twin Sons, Devin Scott and Derin Allen Young; and 1 Brother, Gregory Allen. Calling hours for Roger will be from 4-8pm, Wednesday, August 15, 2007 and the funeral will be at 10:00am, Friday, August 16, 2007 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Michael Brockway will be officiating the service and Roger will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Newton United Methodist Church.
