Roger Dale Phillips

Roger Dale Phillips, 70, of Camby, passed away Monday, November 3rd, 2025. He was born August 22nd, 1955 in Evansville to his parents Amos and Della (Chambers) Phillips. He married his wife Darlene Marie (Lamb) Phillips on December 17th, 1976 and they spent nearly 49 beautiful years together.

Roger is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Phillips of Camby; three children: Bradley E. Phillips (Shannon) of Mooresville, Heather M. Storey (Ryan) of Greenwood, and Christina E. Chadwick (Jesse) of Mooresville; 10 grandchildren: Roger C. of Mooresville, Bradley E. of Mooresville, Kalie J. of Mooresville, Braylon J. of Greenwood, Jacob D. of Mooresville, Logan E. of Mooresville, Lucas H. of Greenwood, Cody M. (Chelsi) of Greenwood, Aaron A. (Morgan) of Indianapolis, and Jesse W. of Indianapolis; five great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Phillips (Karen) of Boonville; sister, Fran Leisring of Greenwood; sister-in-law, Katie Phillips of Greenfield; and a host of nieces and nephews he loved so dearly.

Roger is preceded in death by both of his parents; step-mother, Nellie Phillips; sisters: Nancy, Arlene and Joenell; brother, Floyd; four brother-in-laws: Gregory, Glenn, Roy, and Robert; sister-in-law, Judy; and niece, Melody.

Roger was a proud graduate of Arsenal Tech High School in 1978. He dedicated 14 years of service as a Chemical Operator for Vertellus in Indianapolis before retiring in 2016. With a passion for comic books, he found joy in watching football and westerns on TV. Playing cards and games like Scrabble, Risk, and Sorry with his brothers, children, and grandchildren brought him immense happiness. The laughter shared during Cowboy and Indian games with his grandchildren created lasting memories. Renowned for his genuineness, loyalty, discipline, and caring nature, he was a loving husband, father, and papa, inspiring all who knew him.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1pm on Saturday, November 8th at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A memorial service will be held at 1pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
