Robert Fred Wagner

Robert Fred Wagner, 91, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully at his home on July 6, 2023. Robert was born in Chicago, IL on January 27, 1932 to the late Fred and Amanda (Pattet) Wagner. Robert married Maureen (Harris) Wagner on August 13, 1954.

Robert was a 1951 graduate of Calumet High School and continued his education obtaining his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Robert joined the military proudly serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. As a civilian he was an Engineer at Naval Avionics for over 30 years in Indianapolis before retiring in 1993. Robert was known to be able to fix anything, a true handyman. Robert was a follower of Christ.

Robert is survived by his 4 children: Robert Wagner (Karen) of Indianapolis, Elizabeth Meyer (Robert) of Mooresville, Patricia Wagner of Mooresville, and Andrew Wagner (Roberta) of Oregon; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A celebration of life service with military funeral honors will be held at a later date.
