Robert Taylor

Robert J. Taylor, 78 of Mooresville, IN passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2007. He was born November 15, 1928 in Bruceville, IN to the late Willie and Katie (Wakeland) Taylor. He married Joan (Mawson) Taylor on July of 1955. Robert has lived in Mooresville, IN for 37 years and in Lawrence, IN for 25 years. He was a 1946 Graduate of Lawrence Central H.S. and was also a veteran for the Korean Army. He was a 50 year Member of Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge #685, Scottish Rite Indianapolis Valley and Murat Shrine in Indianapolis. Currently, he was a courier for Centaur in Indianapolis, IN for the past 5 years. Previously, he owned and operated "Bob Taylor Chevrolet" in Mooresville, IN for 20 years and previous to owning his own dealership, he worked as a salesman for Lawrence Auto for 15 years. He is survived by 1 Daughter, Lynn Snow of Scottsburg, IN; 2 Grandsons: Tyler and Robby Snow of Scottsburg, IN; 1 Twin Sister, Barbara Benge of Greenwood,IN; and 1 Brother, Jim Taylor of Fortville, IN. Calling hours will be 4-8pm on Friday, February 2, 2007 with a 10am service on Saturday, February 3, 2007 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Doug Wallace will be officiating the service. Robert will be laid to rest at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, IN. There will also be a Masonic Memorial Service on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 7pm. Also there will be Military Rites at the cemetery following the graveside service on Saturday, February 3, 2007. Memorial Contributions may be made to Damar.
