Robert L. Scott

Robert "Bobby" L. Scott, 73, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, December 9th, 2023. He was born April 9th, 1950 in Indianapolis to his parents Robert F. Scott and Ameila E. "Boots" (Jones) Scott. He married Victoria (Shimer) Scott on May 1st, 1970. Bobby was a resident of Indianapolis his entire life.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Vickie (Shimer) Scott of Indianapolis; two sons: Jeff Scott (Lindy) of Indianapolis and Jason Scott (Tausha) of Mooresville; seven grandchildren: Jacob, Gracie, A.J., Rayder, Bracey, twins, Ellie and Cooper; one brother, Doug Scott; and one sister, Sherry Lang.

Bobby is preceded in death by both of his parents; and one sister, Stacey Scott.

Bobby was a 1968 graduate of Decatur Central High School. He was a Lineman for Indianapolis Power and Light for 45 years until he retired in 2014. Bobby enjoyed traveling with his friends, visiting casinos, and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed pranking his grandchildren and giving them a hard time. Bobby was also a huge Yankees fan.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 2 to 6 pm on Sunday, December 17th with additional visitation 10 to 11 am on Monday, December 18th at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next to Jones Family Mortuary. Pastor Brad Long will officiate the celebration of life service following the visitation at 11 am Monday, December 18th. Bobby's final resting place will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary.
