Robert Rohr

Robert Allen Rohr, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 19, 2016. He was born to William Henry and Virginia Allen (Sawyer) Rohr on November 13, 1954 in Indianapolis. He graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1973 and most recently graduated with honors with a bachelors degree from IUPUI. He married Paula Rae (Baird) Rohr on March 28, 1993.

Robert was a furniture builder, photographer, and stone mason. He enjoyed playing guitar, painting and computer graphic art. He lived in Indianapolis for most of his life.

Robert is survived by a daughter, Rayla Dawn Rohr of Indianapolis; a son, William Michael Rohr of Indianapolis; a stepson, Charles Rommial (Lisa) Butler of Indianapolis; three step grandchildren, Phoenix, Dante, Layla; a sister, Sally (Don) Atkinson of OH; a stepsister, Ann Simonek of Indianapolis; two nieces, Kristi (Bob) Wescott of NC, Kathy Atkinson of OH; a great-niece and great-nephew, Eloise & Nathaniel Wescott. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Family and friends may gather from 1-3 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor John Dunaway will officiate Robert's celebration of life memorial service at 3 p.m. on Friday in Jones Family Mortuary. He will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery at a later date.
