Robert Portish

Robert E. Portish, 76 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008. He was born October 4, 1931 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Charles H. Portish and the late Anna Marie (Taylor) Portish. Robert was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local Union #716. He was a Truck Driver for Astro Paving in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years and retired in 1994. Robert is survived by 4 Children: David Portish of Mooresville, IN; Daren Portish of Indianapolis, IN; Michele Portish of Plainfield, IN; and Debbie Lucas of Brownsburg, IN; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandson; 1 Sister, Mary Ellen Pereau; Sister In Law, Rita Portish; and Special Friend, Ann Stephey. He is also preceded in death by Twin Brother, Paul Portish and 1 Brother, Charles Portish. Calling hours for Robert will be from 5-8pm, Friday, June 27, 2008 and also from 12noon-1pm, Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 1pm, Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary with Michael Brockway to officiate. Robert will be laid to rest at I.O.O.F Cemetery in Waverly, Indiana.
